Are you considering getting married? Please speak to or ring the Friary and speak to one of the Friars, who will be happy to help you prepare (01275 873205). Please note that you will need at least 6 months prepare for all paperwork to be processed if you are considering getting married.


We have a course running throughout the year for First Holy Communion. This begins in September and runs until June, when the children receive their First Holy Communion. If you would like to know more details or register your child to start in September 2024, please email the Parish Office by clicking here.


This course usually begins in January and runs until June when Confirmation Masses happen. The bishop is booked to give the Sacrament of Confirmation in one church in our Pastoral Area. Please see the newsletter for details of this course and when Confirmations happen.


If you are going in hospital or you have a relative or a friend in hospital, please contact the local chaplain of the hospital or let the hospital know you are Catholic and would like to see a priest during your stay. If you are at home and would like to receive the Sacrament of the Sick (Anointing), please contact the Friary on 01275 873205.


If you would like to receive this sacrament of God’s forgiveness and love, Confession times are on Saturdays in the morning from 10.30am – 11.30am or before Mass on Saturday evenings: 5.30pm – 6pm. In Yatton you can receive this sacrament before the 8.30am Sunday Mass. If these times are not suitable, please contact a Friar to arrange a more convenient time.
